Checarda is the robust end-point to our fully integrated solution that securely reads, checks and validates physical and virtual smartcards. Checarda provides smartcard issuing organisations with a rapid mobile solution for checking smartcards to validate credentials, qualify membership status and can also be used to control access. Checarda is available on Android, iOS and PC.
Physical cards are read on mobile devices using the NFC chip embedded in the smartcard.
When read online, Checarda, validates the authenticity of the card and then connects to Gencarda to establish if the card has been cancelled or updated before displaying the cardholder’s details on screen.
When read offline, Checarda reads the data stored in the card chip and presents it on screen.
A copy of the card read is captured by Checarda along with the time, date and GPS co-ordinates, where available. This provides a complete audit trail of card reads.
Virtual cards can be installed on iOS and Android devices using our Vircarda App and read using Checarda. Virtual cards can be transferred between devices, for example; if you change your device.
Virtual cards are highly secure due to encryped, short-life QR codes, which automatically refreshes every 30 seconds or when manually refreshed.
A copy of the card read is captured by Checarda together with the time, date and GPS co-ordinates, where available. This provides a complete audit trail of card reads for the card issuing organisation and sends an instant notification to the cardholder.
When a virtual card is read offline, the card is provisionally validated, and the rest of the card data is cached on the smartcard reader and completed once connectivity is available.
Checarda can be used by any company or organisation that issues physical and/or virtual smartcards to its employees, contractors or members using our Gencarda platform. Checarda is designed to check cards to ensure they are genuine and valid.
